Explaining A1C

A1C test is the gold standard for diabetic blood sugar test.

In the following I provide the correlation between A1C and your Glucose number:

A1c Mean Glucose
5 100
6 135
7 170
8 205

Every 0.1 increment of A1C = 3.5 points of mean glucose number.

An example: A1C 6.3 = 135+ (3.5x3) = 135+10.5 = 145.5

A1C 5.2= 100+ (3.5x2) = 100+7 = 107

I hope this information will be helpful to you.
