Soluble fiber

Soluble fiber has been studied at many diseases front. I will list the benefits hereafter:

1) Heart disease prevention.
2)Lower blood cholesterol level.
3)Better glucose control for Diabetes Type 2
4)Relief diarrhea and constipation.

Soluble fiber will form a gel-like substance, it absorb or release liquid to relief
either diarrhea and constipation.

Soluble fiber will fermented in the colon, aided by good bacteria,
produce short chain fatty acids which provide those above benefits.

Soluble fiber also help to increase the population of good bacteria in the bowel.

Source of soluble fiber: Vegetables, oats, fruits, beans, grains.

One thing worth noting: coffee has a great amount of soluble fiber,
for 12 oz coffee, you have more than 2gm. of soluble fiber.

Each day, we need 9 gm of soluble fiber to keep our body running smoothly.

Personally, I drink 4-5 cups of coffee, and take some Benefiber everyday for the past five years.
